ENG 566 - Advanced Creative Nonfiction Description: Intensive writing course further developing the techniques of writing creative nonfiction: researching, editing, assimilating features of fiction and poetry, and experimenting with structure, voice, and style. Reading professional models to learn technique. ENG 466 and ENG 566 are layered courses; a student may not receive credit for both.
Prerequisites: Prerequisite: admission to the online professional and creative writing MA.

Learner Outcomes: Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Analyze, articulate, and apply effective strategies for voice and tone.
- Demonstrate advanced revision/editing skills, and demonstrate collaborative feedback strategies informed by awareness of contemporary and ongoing conversations around inclusive and anti-racist pedagogies and accessible design.
- Demonstrate advanced performance strategies.
- Engage dialogue that includes critical theory and cultural context as it applies to examples of creative nonfiction, consider how such works are structured and arranged, and analyze them form the writer’s point of view.
