CERM 562 - Issues and Conflicts in Cultural and Environmental Resource Management


Description:
This course deals with current issues and conflicts in the field of cultural and environmental resource management. Students will be gain an understanding of and practice appropriate application of several models for conflict resolution.

Learner Outcomes:
Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:

  • Analyze a conflict situation by identifying all parties and their views and roles and write a concise assessment of that issue.
  • Create and perform a role-playing scenario in which a cultural and environmental resource management issue or conflict is addressed.
  • Critically analyze a current resource management issue or conflict and offer potential strategies for managing or resolving the conflict.
