Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:

Discuss and evaluate the historical context and evolution of environmental and resource law and policy.
Describe and critique the process of policy formulation, implementation, and assessment.
Examine the framework of political and legal systems in the context of cultural and environmental resource management.
Differentiate between cultural and environmental resource conservation policy and policies designed to prevent and mitigate resource degradation.
