CERM 502 - Policy and Law in Cultural and Environmental Resource Management Description: This course introduces students to cultural and environmental resource law and policy, the history of resource-related policies and legislation, current legislation and policies, and future directions in resource policy.

Learner Outcomes: Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Discuss and evaluate the historical context and evolution of environmental and resource law and policy.
- Describe and critique the process of policy formulation, implementation, and assessment.
- Examine the framework of political and legal systems in the context of cultural and environmental resource management.
- Differentiate between cultural and environmental resource conservation policy and policies designed to prevent and mitigate resource degradation.
