GPD 592 - Practica I Description: Centered on observations, participation, and reflection on the roles and responsibilities of a CTE/FCS teacher. The student will begin to construct the knowledge base needed to be an effective CTE classroom teacher in FCS. May be repeated for credit. Grade will either be S or U. Permission of instructor.
Prerequisites: Prerequisite: graduate standing.

Learner Outcomes: Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Rate and work with students in a classroom setting
- Analyze contemporary educational issues impacting FCS
- Construct strategies for integrating FCCLA into the FCS curriculum
- Create and test a management plan for a department, classroom or laboratory setting
- Examine instructional strategies appropriate to diverse and special populations
- Prepare assessment and evaluation strategies appropriate for FCS class
