STP 503 - Making STEM Learning Environments Culturally Responsive Description: STEM leaders will unpack their own intercultural understanding and study the culture in their classroom using a culturally responsive framework to plan changes to better respect and integrate students’ cultures.

Learner Outcomes: Upon successful completion of this course, the student/teacher candidate will be able to:
- Assess their own intercultural development, cultural responsiveness, and world view.
- Analyze the culture of their teaching community, school, and classrooms using a research-based framework for culturally responsive teaching.
- Apply gained cultural knowledge to plan appropriate changes to their learning environment design, instructional practices, and assessments practices to better respect and integrate students’ cultures.
