Student-selected applied projects in the pedagogical areas of the ABC curriculum, based on individual study areas identified through the diagnostic placement exam. May be repeated up to 9 credits.

Prerequisite: graduate standing and admission to American Band College program.

Learner Outcomes:
Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:

Adapt knowledge of specific instrument technique to create original, developmentally-appropriate instructional materials for flute, oboe, clarinet, saxophone, bassoon, trumpet, horn, trombone, euphonium, tuba, and percussion.
Select and justify specific elements of instrumental pedagogy in rehearsal planning and performance.
Prepare and manage applied pedagogy in rehearsal and performance.
