MUS 618 - Practical Application I, II, III: American Band College Description: Student-selected applied projects in the pedagogical areas of the ABC curriculum, based on individual study areas identified through the diagnostic placement exam. May be repeated up to 9 credits.
Prerequisites: Prerequisite: graduate standing and admission to American Band College program.

Learner Outcomes: Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Adapt knowledge of specific instrument technique to create original, developmentally-appropriate instructional materials for flute, oboe, clarinet, saxophone, bassoon, trumpet, horn, trombone, euphonium, tuba, and percussion.
- Select and justify specific elements of instrumental pedagogy in rehearsal planning and performance.
- Prepare and manage applied pedagogy in rehearsal and performance.
