PUBH 651 - Public Health Leadership and Ethics Description: Graduate level training in leadership strategies and ethical decision-making in public health. Case studies, readings, practical tools, and small group conversations will be utilized to analyze real world scenarios in public health decision-making.

Learner Outcomes: Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Apply principles, theories, and frameworks for leadership, governance, and management in public health decision-making
- Assess individual strengths and opportunities as both a leader and manager.
- Develop, analyze, and frame specific ethical challenges related to current events in Public Health
- Compare and contrast codes of ethic for various professions including Public Health
- Evaluate organizational, community, and ethical challenges coupled with collaborative leadership solutions to address population health issues
- Utilize systems thinking tools to investigate complex leadership and management issues in public health
- Articulate the implications of public health decision-making on health equity, social justice, and human rights
- Identify shared values and communicate effectively across collaborative interprofessional teams to deliver patient-centered prevention services and programs
