SCM 510 - Supply Chain Management Principles and Practices Description: Adoption of a supply chain orientation toward business management which emphasizes inter-functional and inter-firm relationships to improve coordination of operations and performance of participants in various types of supply chains.
Prerequisites: Prerequisite: admission to a College of Business Graduate program OR MS Engineering Technology Management.

Learner Outcomes: Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Determine the expected benefits from the adoption of a cross-functional, cross-organizational approach to business planning and execution.
- Evaluate the corresponding fit between corporate strategy and process strategies associated with supplier relationship management, strategic sourcing, customer relationship management, demand planning, operations, inventory management and logistics
- Assess the most effective processes and techniques to employ for demand forecasting, production planning and inventory management under specific case scenarios.
- Choose the appropriate process frameworks and tools to address a given process improvement scenario.
- Evaluate alternative supply chain strategies that may be employed to support a global sourcing and distribution strategy
