PSY 566 - Introduction to Behavioral and Social-Emotional Assessment Description: Introduction to the assessment of behavior and social-emotional functioning, including administration of rating scales, interviewing, and/or behavioral observations. Permission of department.
Prerequisites: Prerequisite: admission to the school psychology program.

Learner Outcomes: Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Evaluate theoretical and conceptual issues underlying social/emotional/behavioral assessment of children and adolescents
- Summarize knowledge of psychometric properties, purposes, utility, and acceptability of instruments and procedures for assessing social/emotional/behavioral functioning.
- Summarize the ethical and legal requirements of behavioral and social-emotional assessment.
- Select, administer, score, and interpret a variety of instruments and procedures for assessing social/emotional/behavioral functioning.
- Evaluate assessment data and integrate various sources of information into a comprehensive report format
