Learner Outcomes: Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Compare and contrast students’ personal educational experiences in their home countries with critical pedagogy.
- Describe and explain the development of the field of comparative education.
- Develop comparative insights about education with the goal of improving schools anywhere.
- Explain how education and human resource policies can affect national development from global and comparative perspectives.
- Examine cross-national themes such as educational transfer, political and economic development, social stratification and globalization.
- Examine comparative methodology on education, social sciences and national development in a global era.
