PEID 150 - Archery


Description:
This course teaches the fundamentals of safe archery practice and basics of the archery equipment. Course may be repeated up to 12 times for a maximum of 12 credits starting Spring 2016.  Past repetitions will remain as coded.

Learner Outcomes:
Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:

  • Identify the Eleven Steps to Archery Success.
  • Identify the different parts of the bow and arrow and field targets.
  • Demonstrate the techniques that represent the Eleven Steps to Archery Success.
  • Create a log book related to this activity.
  • Identify the purpose and meaning of the 4 whistle command.
  • Incorporate safe archery skills for a lifetime.
