Students will be able to research and generate story ideas and develop angles pertinent to an audience of CWU students, faculty and staff.		Students will be required to turn in two story ideas every week that are relevant to the paper’s audience.
Students will demonstrate the ability to work in a deadline-driven environment.		A portion of each student’s weekly grade will be assessed according to their ability to meet deadlines.
Students will demonstrate the ability to write basic news and feature stories, including effective leads not grafts, basic story elements and basic story structures.		Each week, students will report and write a basic news or feature story that is of publishable quality.
