LAJ 525 - Race, Class, Gender, and the Administration of Justice


Description:
Study the effects of race, class, and gender on the decision making processes of the criminal justice system. Examines the historical and legal foundations of racial, class, and sexual injustice, patterns of crime and victimization among minority communities, disproportionate representation of racial minorities, and differential processing of members of minority groups. Explores strategies to eliminate racial, class, and sexual bias.

Prerequisites & Notes:
Prerequisite: admissions to the MS in Law and Justice Program.
