IT Leadership Graduate Certificate

The IT leadership graduate certificate is for professionals who don’t have time to complete a full time graduate program yet desire a few specialized classes to help them offer additional value on their current job or be competitive at a new job. The IT Leadership certificate program was designed to address the industry’s need for skilled and educated professionals in IT management. Leadership in the modern workplace requires agility to deal with highly complex situations. This customized certificate features four classes from the administrative management and information technology areas of study.

Admission Requirements
​The Department of Information Technology Management requires the same admission criteria as the CWU Graduate School including English Language Proficiency tests. There is not a GRE or GMAT requirement for admission. Find out more at: www.cwu.edu/masters/future-cwu-graduate-students.

Program Learner Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this program, students will be able to:

  • devise leadership approaches in your fields of expertise that align with your professional values and are effective in global/diversified work environments;
  • determine effective leadership styles, strategies, and risk management approaches based on assessments of the external and internal business environments in global/diversified work environments;
  • diagnose strengths and weakness of your leadership styles and formulate strategies for continuous improvement of your learning abilities in your fields of expertise;
  • evaluate your personalities, experiences, biases, skills, and knowledge to determine your competitive advantage in leading people in global/diversified work environments; and
  • evaluate your leadership and modify it as necessary in global/diversified work environments.
