The degree program in applied behavior analysis (ABA) reflects a commitment to train highly skilled applied behavior analysts. The ABA program will provide students with specialized training in the field of behavior analysis and learning, as well as supervised clinical hours that meet the requirements for board certification. The program is designed to prepare graduates with the knowledge and skills necessary for later doctoral study or for professional work with individuals and organizations in clinical or research settings including areas such as education, developmental disabilities, medical adherence, mental health, traumatic brain injury, business industry. This program provides the educational course requirements and over 500 of the required supervised hours to become a Board-certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Additional supervised hours of practice and a national board examination are required. Collaborative thesis developed in conjunction with an advisor is also required.
Prerequisites: PSY 300 and 301 and 362 and 363 (or approved equivalents).
