Department Information
The mission of the Department of Sport and Movement Studies is to promote health and active lifestyles. The vision of the department is to create highly recognized and respected academic programs in which students gain the knowledge, skills, and dispositions to be successful in their profession. This mission and vision and the following core values help to guide program decisions within the department:

Health and Physical Education
The student shall complete at least 45 credits as outlined in an approved course of study filed with the office of Graduate Studies and Research. The course of study is structured in consultation with the student’s academic advisor and is approved by the department director of graduate studies. Conditional or probationary admission may be granted to applicants not meeting all of the admission criteria.
