ACCT 492 - Volunteer Income Tax Assistance

Description:
Training for an exam that will allow students to become certified VITA volunteers and prepare tax returns for low-income taxpayers. Grade will either be S or U. ACCT 492 and ACCT 592 are layered courses; a student may not receive credit for both. May be repeated for up to 9 credits. By instructor permission.

Prerequisites:
Pre or Co-requisites: ACCT 340 and permission of the instructor.

Provide definitions for key tax terms
Prepare simple individual income tax returns
