AGB 301 - Food and Agribusiness Organizations and Careers


Description:
In this course, students will focus on agribusiness systems, industry, and careers. The course will emphasize the study of food and agribusiness organizations, skills needed within the industry, and jobs/careers.

Learner Outcomes:
Upon successful completion of this program, students will be able to:

  • examine the relevant careers in the food and agribusiness sectors that require marketing, management, entrepreneurial, and innovation skills,
  • identify which food and agribusiness organizations provide the best path for careers that require marketing, management, entrepreneurial, innovation skills, and value diversity, social responsibility, and environmental impact of agribusiness decisions,
  • determine how key skills relevant to a career in food and agribusiness contribute to growth and sustainability, and
  • consider multiple perspectives when determining which career options, in the food and agribusiness areas, align with personal and professional goals.
