COM 472 - Global Public Relations Description: This course provides an international viewpoint for public relations theories, strategies, and practices. Students will compare and investigate the interaction of cultures from a cultural, social, political, and legal perspective.
Prerequisites: Prerequisites: COM 370 and admission to a communication, public relations, or journalism major or minor.

Learner Outcomes: Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- critique ethnocentric biases and foster an informed perspective on cross-cultural issues and relations,
- evaluate the cultural differences affecting the work of public relations practitioners when implementing international campaigns,
- develop the methodology to hire a foreign firm and/or manage an international public relations campaign, and
- assess how public relations are practiced in other countries as a way to better understand how the communication landscape works within a global economic context.
