Seminar on current issues of accessibility and disability. May be repeated for credit. ASP 410 and ASP 510 are layered courses.

Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:

Critique issues of accessibility in current news, cultural events, and personal experience.
Analyze real world events as the context affecting individuals with activity-limiting conditions using the World Health Organization Classifications of Factors of Disability.
Synthesize multiple sources of information on a current event or cultural trend regarding disability-related beliefs and behavior in content and reporting.
Demonstrate skills of leading and engaging in thoughtful discussion.
Synthesize divergent views in a succinct summary.
Reflect on changes in perspective and knowledge.
