ACCT 606 - Certified Management Accountant Exam 1 Review Description: Review of financial statement analysis, planning, budgeting, forecasting, performance management, cost management, and internal controls. These concepts correspond with the topics tested in the Certified Management Accountant Exam 1, commonly called the First CMA Exam. Grade will either be S or U.
Prerequisites: Prerequisite: admission to a graduate accounting program (MPA or certificate).

Learner Outcomes: Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Leverage financial statement analysis tools in making financial decisions.
- Present financial information applying proper accounting principles of revenue recognition, measurement, and valuation.
- Employ budgeting concepts and forecasting techniques to make strategic planning decisions.
- Identify and allocate cost objects to manufacturing output.
- Identify and resolve control risks and failures.
