KRN 252 - Intermediate Korean II Description: Develop Intermediate-Low to Intermediate-Mid proficiency on the ACTFL (American Council on the Teaching Foreign Languages) scale in listening, speaking, reading, and writing Korean with attention to the cultural context of everyday life in Korean society.
Prerequisites: Prerequisite: KRN 251.

Learner Outcomes: Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Use all four language skills (speaking, listening, reading, writing) in Korean to accomplish uncomplicated communicative tasks in a variety of predictable social situations.
- Use speaking and listening skills in Korean to express one’s own meaning by forming full sentences in the present and past tense.
- Use all four language skills to understand and interpret authentic materials in Korean within limited range of topics covered in the class.
- Demonstrate command of vocabulary within limited range of topics covered in the class.
- Describe key linguistic features of Korean with emphasis on grammar, syntax and socio-linguistic pragmatics.
- Demonstrate some ability to engage with Korean cultural conventions and practices.
