ART 380C - Intermediate Sculpture: Materials and Processes


Description:
A continuation of the studio experience in sculpture, emphasizing experimentation with materials and processes, a higher level of technical competence, and a continued exploration of conceptual development. Class meets 5 hours per week. Course will be offered every year (Fall).

Prerequisites:
ART 280

Learner Outcomes:
Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:

  • Demonstrate proficiency in sculptural processes with experimental materials.
  • Develop content and context using materials and processes.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of issues relating to studio, tools, and material safety.
  • Utilize correct terminology relevant to sculpture.
  • Prepare and present research on a contemporary sculptor.
