COM 341LAB - Introduction to Field Production Lab (Put on Reserve 9/1/2020) Description: Introduction to cameras, lighting, audio and grip equipment used in field production, set etiquette and production work flow including post-production and exporting the finished product. One two-hour laboratory session weekly. Permission by instructor. Course will be offered every year (Fall and Spring). (Put on reserve 9/1/2020, will go inactive 8/24/23)
Prerequisites: Prerequisite: journalism or film major status or instructor permission.

Learner Outcomes: Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Design and present quality image composition and sound, using camera, lighting, and audio equipment effectively and safely.
- Employ video editing software effectively from ingest of media through final project delivery.
- Explain production crew roles and professional set etiquette.
