PE 220 - Climbing Wall Instructor (Put on Reserve 9/1/2020) Description: This course will prepare students to instruct climbing in an indoor setting. Students will learn to instruct both technical and movement climbing skills. This course will prepare students to receive a climbing wall instructor certification through the professional climbing instructors association. May be repeated up to 6 credits. Course will not have an established scheduling pattern. (Put on reserve 9/1/2020, will go inactive 8/24/23)

Learner Outcomes: Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Demonstrate proficiency in belaying and climbing movement.
- Demonstrate knowledge of teaching climbing skills.
- Demonstrate ability to perform rescue skills, including belay take-over, counter ascend, and pick-off.
- Demonstrate ability to instruct a technical climbing lesson.
- Demonstrate ability to instruct a movement-based climbing lesson.
