DNCE 315 - Teaching Methods: Modern and Ballet Dance Description: Teaching methods for modern and ballet technique classes which emphasizes the development of critical and creative thinking skills, observations skills, and assessment skills. May be repeated up to 8 credits. Formerly PED 315, students may not receive credit for both. Course will be offered on odd numbered years (Winter).
Prerequisites: Prerequisites: DNCE 101 and DNCE 104.

Learner Outcomes: Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Use the academic language of dance proficiently in planning and teaching.
- Demonstrate dance technique and cue exercises correctly using musical accompaniment and counts.
- Apply effective teaching skills in the classroom.
- Develop an evaluation process for the dance classroom.
