DNCE 311 - Music for Dance - Rhythms and Resources Description: A study of rhythmic concepts as related to dance movements and composition; an introduction to music resources emphasizing composer/choreographer collaborations. Course will be offered on odd numbered years (Fall). Formerly PED 211, students may not receive credit for both.

Learner Outcomes: Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Understand basic rhythmic structure.
- Learn how to play simple rhythm and percussion instruments.
- Identify various types and styles of music.
- Recognize composers of significance in the dance world.
