DNCE 161 - Cultural History of Dance Description: A comprehensive look at the global dynamics of dance, examining the diverse cultural traditions and the innovations that have advanced dance into the 21st century. AH-Aesthetic Experience. Formerly PED 161, students may not receive credit for both. Course will be offered every year (Fall, Winter, Spring, and Summer).

- Interpret a choreographic work and its social and political implications.
- Analyze how an important influence, or innovation affected the development of dance.
