Description: Impact of governmental policies on families; policy implications of changes in the structure and composition of families. Requires attendance at two events outside scheduled class time. FCL 439 and FCL 539 are layered courses; students may not receive credit for both. Formerly FS 439, students may not receive credit for both. Course will be offered every year (Winter).

Identify public policy issues relating to families at local, state, and federal levels.
