EDLM 416 - Application of Technology Resources Description: This course provides an introduction to technology tools, processes, and web applications that support information literacy. Web 2.0 and other collaboration tools will be explored. Projects will be developed to explore the application of these technologies. EDLM 416 and EDLM 516 are layered courses, students may not receive credit for both.

Learner Outcomes: Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Explain the role of computer networks and library systems software in libraries.
- Demonstrate and understanding of databases and electronic resources.
- Evaluate the need for adaptive/ assistive technology.
- Recognize technology issues and the need to plan for future technology needs in a library.
- Identify and describe emerging technologies.
- Use social bookmarking and graphic organizers to help with research.
- Explain the uses of blogs, wikis and RSS feeds.
- Demonstrate and understanding of Google Earth
- Describe information processing models and how to promote them.
