ART 341 - Intermediate Wood Design Description: Design and fabrication of furniture forms. Emphasis on creative form development utilizing sophisticated fabrication and finishing processes. Class meets five hours per week.
Prerequisites: Prerequisite: ART 241.

Learner Outcomes: Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Design and create furniture forms
- Apply creative problem solving and critical thinking skills related to studio furniture design and fabrication
- Demonstrate proficiency in shaping, fabricating and finishing wood and wood-based materials
- Design works that incorporate conceptual content
- Demonstrate knowledge of issues relating to studio, tools and material, safety
