IT 684 - Approaches to Data Mining for IT Managers Description: This course surveys a variety of data mining techniques used in the information technology field.
Prerequisites: Prerequisites: ADMG 501 and ADMG 545.

Learner Outcomes: Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Evaluate a variety of data mining techniques used in the information technology field.
- Evaluate models and algorithms in relation to data mining techniques.
- Determine the value of data mining in solving problems related to an organization’s strategy and/or operations.
- Apply algorithms to the process of data mining.
- Assess the role of machine learning in data mining.
- Evaluate visualization techniques used in data mining in terms of their ability to support decision-making.
