This course surveys a variety of data mining techniques used in the information technology field.

Prerequisites:
Prerequisites: ADMG 501 and ADMG 545.

Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:

  • Evaluate a variety of data mining techniques used in the information technology field.
  • Evaluate models and algorithms in relation to data mining techniques.
  • Determine the value of data mining in solving problems related to an organization’s strategy and/or operations.
  • Apply algorithms to the process of data mining.
  • Assess the role of machine learning in data mining.
  • Evaluate visualization techniques used in data mining in terms of their ability to support decision-making.
