IT 667 - Cybersecurity Risk Management


Description:
This course focuses on the management of cybersecurity risks to an organization’s information assets. Plans will be developed to preserve the business in the face of major security disruptions.

Prerequisites:
Prerequisite: IT 647.

Learner Outcomes:
Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:

  • Examine the roles and governance mechanisms used to ensure security of an organization’s information assets.
  • Identify and categorize cybersecurity risks to an organization’s information assets.
  • Develop countermeasures to cybersecurity risks to an organization’s information assets.
  • Conduct business impact analysis of the cybersecurity risks to an organization’s information assets.
  • Prepare a business continuity plan that includes a detailed disaster recovery plan.
