Description:
This course will familiarize the student with ethical issues commonly encountered by applied behavior analysts. The ethical guidelines created by the Behavior Analysis Certification Board will be covered. Acceptance into ABA program or permission of instructor.

Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:

Describe the history that shaped the current state of ethics in the field of ABA.
Articulate each aspect of the ethical code created by the BACB, and describe how these guidelines are applied in real scenarios.
Describe guidelines for the use of aversive procedures in the field of behavior analysis.
Correctly identify the role of the supervisee in an ABA internship.
Describe the behavioral interpretation of morality.
