Description: Investigation of current teaching methodologies and trends in instructional design in physical education. Formerly PE 561, students may not receive credit for both.

Learner Outcomes: Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
Examine the current instructional pedagogies in physical education.
Analyze various curricular and instructional models including: project adventure, movement education/developmental/skill themes, sport education, teaching games for understanding, fitness-based (PE 4 Life), personal and social responsibility, and culturally studies curriculum.
Synthesize current instructional pedagogies into a unit and lesson plans
