IHP 560 - Inferential Statistics Description: Inferential Statistics is an intermediate course that focuses on the application of appropriate statistical procedures used in the fields of human physiology and nutrition. The course covers quantitative inferential statistics methods in theory and practice. Formerly EXSC 560, students may not receive credit for both.
Prerequisites: Prerequisite: admission to the NEHS MS, IHP or Nutrition graduate program or permission of the instructor.

Learner Outcomes: Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Demonstrate knowledge of appropriate ways to present data in numerical and graphical format.
- Synthesize different concepts of logic and statistical analyses to investigate hypotheses using univariate or bivariate research designs.
- Apply inferential statistical methods to calculate the statistics for a specific research question.
- Synthesize the results of inferential statistical analyses and effectively communicate results.
