CS 573 - Parallel Computing


Description:
Major parallel architectures and languages. Parallel programming methodologies and applications. CS 473 and CS 573 are equivalent courses; students may not receive credit for both.

Prerequisites:
Prerequisite: CS 528.

Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:

  • Design algorithms that execute efficiently on parallel computers.
  • Demonstrate the usage of distributed programs.
  • Demonstrate the usage of multi-core programs
  • Identify computational science solutions for problems in a parallel/distributed environment.
