HIST 438 - American Indian History since 1795 Description: Examines American Indian history since the Treaty of Greenville, wherein the U.S. recognized tribal sovereignty. Themes include resistance, assimilation, cultural revitalization, federal Indian policy, sovereignty, and reservation economics. HIST 438 and HIST 538 are layered courses; students may not receive credit for both.
