GEOG 303 - Introductory GIS Description: Applications, scope, and benefits of Geographic Information Systems (GIS), classification and components of GIS; data acquisition; data management; data errors; implementation considerations; applied experience using GIS software. Students will be given a computer literacy test during the first week of class. Continued enrollment is dependent upon passing the test.
Prerequisites & Notes: Prerequisites: computer literacy, and GEOG 203, or GEOG 210, or ANTH 323, or BIOL 360.
