This division of interdisciplinary studies is for the students whose primary interest in the biological or physical sciences or mathematics which offers broader options in course selections than are possible within single departments.

Interdisciplinary Studies-Natural Sciences 62 Credit Major
Required Courses
- 60 credits must be taken from the list of courses approved for the natural sciences major, 45 of which must be upper division. Students specializing in natural sciences must take courses in at least three disciplines within the major. No more than 15 credits may be numbered 490. Credits: (60)
Interdisciplinary Studies-Natural Sciences 47 Credit Major
Required Courses
- 45 credits must be taken from the list of courses approved for the natural sciences major, 30 of which must be upper division. Students specializing in natural sciences must take courses in at least three disciplines within the major. No more than 10 credits may be numbered 490. Credits: (45)
- In addition, a 47 credit major must complete either a traditional departmental minor or a second major, which may be either a traditional major or a interdisciplinary studies major with a different major.
