tudent advancement through perform-ance levels (164-464) is determined by jury examination. All Bachelor of Music performance majors must successfully complete eight credits at the 464 level, present a joint recital in the junior year and a full recital in the senior year.

Bachelor of Music in theory/ composition is intended for students whose primary interest is in music theory or composition, and for those who intend to pursue graduate work in music theory or composition.

  • Additional Performance credits in approved ensembles Credits: 12
    Total of 24 credits: must include 12-18 credits in Large Ensembles and 6-12 credits in chamber ensembles

    If keyboard is the major applied area, select another applied area for study.
    Prior to completion of the Bachelor’s Degree, Vocal performance majors must:
    1. Demonstrate the ability to translate musical texts in French and German
