The airway science specializations are designed to prepare graduates for entry level positions within the aviation industry or the Federal Aviation Administration. There are two specializations in the area of airway science: the aircraft systems management specialization and the aviation maintenance management specialization. These specializations offer a curriculum based upon a strong foundation in the liberal arts in addition to technical competence. The curriculum is disciplined and structured to educate the future technical managers of government and the aviation industry. Basic and breadth requirements must be carefully selected to meet graduation requirements. Graduation requirements exceed 180 credits. In the absence of an appropriate math/science background, the student may find it necessary to take one or more of the following: MATH 153, MATH 154.
