Marketing Education Major, B.S. (4975)

Qualifies for teaching marketing education at the secondary level. State vocational certification requirements should also be satisfied:  2,000 hours of recent, related work experience and completion of OCED 410.  See the program coordinator for more information.

Students are required to complete EDCS 311 before taking BSED 420 and ME 432.  BSED 420 must be completed with a C+ or better to be endorsed to teach accounting.  ME 432 must be completed with a C+ or better to teach marketing subjects.

Prior to student teaching, student must successfully pass the marketing education PRAXIS II exam.

Students taking this major are required to complete the professional education program requirements offered through the education department.
