Performance Specialization

The performance specialization offers four full years of acting classes culminating with concentrated study and practice in the performance of classic theatre, namely Shakespeare, as well as film and television acting. Voice training, singing lessons, dance, stage movement and combat, make-up and other specialty classes round out thorough preparation for a career in performance. Audition into this specialization occurs at the end of the students’ first year at Central.

Students interested in pursuing additional career enhancing course work as general electives, yet related to their specialization, should choose additional course work from the following broad catagories. For a wellrounded educational experience, no more than four courses should be selected from any individual category. Movement Related Electives
