Program Information
At all times, students at Central have access to the library’s 1.3 million books, films, government documents, and maps in print, microfiche, microfilm, and online electronic formats. The main library and two branch libraries at the University Centers at Des Moines and Lynnwood maintain subscriptions to over 20,000 newspapers, magazines, and journals in print and online full-text electronic formats, as well as audio recordings in CD, LP, and cassette formats and videos in DVD and VHS formats. The libraries participate in the resource-sharing service with the Orbis Cascade Alliance that provides our students with access to more than 25 million information items. The libraries’ online Cattrax catalog, as well as most full-text access, are available to students from any networked computer, whether on or off campus.
