PHYS 103 - Physics of Musical Sound


Description:
Basic physical principles of sound and vibration; how and why musical instruments produce their sounds. Topics include sound analysis techniques, room acoustics, musical scales and the perception of sound.

Prerequisites & Notes:
Four lectures and two hours laboratory per week. Must be taken concurrently with PHYS 103LAB.
