ART 332 - Art Curriculum and Field Experience


Description:
Developing discipline-based art education curriculum for the elementary and middle school, as well as preparing curriculum to teach Friday children’s art classes. Course Requires liability insurance and current WSP/FBI fingerprints that do not expire before end of quarter.

Prerequisites:
Prerequisite: ART 330.

Learner Outcomes:
Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:

  • Identify and apply concepts and methods of teaching a discipline-based art education unit for elementary school
  • Propose concepts and methods of teaching a discipline-based art education unit for middle school
  • Compare and contrast elementary and middle school art instruction, curriculum, and development
  • Categorize methods of teaching and learning styles
