MUS 340 - Form and Analysis Description: Analysis of the structure of tonal music from both a historical and theoretical perspective.
Prerequisites: Prerequisite: MUS 246 with a grade of C or higher.

Learner Outcomes: Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Recognize, define, and apply standard music vocabulary related to form and style analysis.
- Listen actively to music, especially as related to their field of study.
- Demonstrate a mastery of score reading through the recognition of musical syntax, structural elements, and notation details.
- Identify the chronology and development of musical styles.
