EDSE 520 - Behavioral Intervention for Students with Disabilities Description: This course examines the evidence based and practical strategies for evaluating and implementing behavioral interventions for students with disabilities.
Prerequisites: Prerequisite: admission to the Masters of Education, Special Education Program.

Learner Outcomes: Upon successful completion of this course, the student/teacher candidate will be able to:

- Identify current research on effective teaching and program development for individuals with behavioral disabilities CEC Standard 2: LDS2Kl, and LDS2K2 CTL Standard: 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, 7
- Demonstrate understanding of how to coordinate educational standards to the needs of individuals with behavioral needs CEC Standard 2: ACC2S3, Standard 5: SA5K3 CTL Standard: 1; 3; 4; 6; 7
- Identify evidence-based practices validated for specific characteristics of learners with behavioral needs CEC Standard 3: ACC3Kl CTL Standard: 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, 7
