The importance of culture-based curriculum to children, families and communities, and its creation, use and evaluation. ANTH 130 recommended.

Prerequisite: admission to the Teacher Certification Program.

Explain the concept of culture and its relationship to classroom instruction.
Document theories used in the development of multicultural education models.
Implement different approaches to multicultural education in their classrooms.
